Photos from Statons Creek Falls in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mount Pleasant, Virginia. The area is largely undeveloped and quiet.  Autumn in the area is exceptionally rich in color with lots of dense foliage and mature old growth trees. Virginia's state tree the dogwood is common here and along nearby Otter Creek.

Staton's Creek falls are extremely tall with many cascading for hundreds of feet.  The upper falls are easily accessible from the forest road into the area. Hiking down the falls can be very dangerous because there are many steep ledges and slippery rocks on unclear trails.
