On traveling home one evening I ended up spending the week with an old friend I grew up with. Getting to know someone takes time and many years have passed since I last saw her. I feel like I know myself more now than ever, what I like and dislike, I express my criticisms harshly sometimes and I realize the false facade I create by my judgements. I take a step back and begin to see the truth shed light on my actions whether in vain or not.

Imagine how great the feeling will be when we give back to ourselves the life we know that makes us happy. The things we love to do, the places we love to go and the people we love to see. Bear Rocks in the Monongahela National Forest is a great destination for the weary traveler looking to find some peace and quiet. There are miles of trails and camping opportunities.

There are places I've been and felt the presence of those who walked before me over eons in time still intact. In my mind I sometimes travel to these places and i'm there again with different souls seeing the faces of the people who were once there. The air and the energy peaceful in every way, I stay for a while to soak everything in then when it's time I walk away.

Today was nice though it started out a little chilly. I got a chance to do a few things outside after everything heated up and enjoyed a nice sunset and view from my cabin door this evening. The April moons have also really been quite amazing, I can't wait to put away the flashlight tonight and run around out in the woods and perhaps start howling like madman or maybe I'll just let out a couple hoots to see who calls back!

Natural bridge once privately owned is now a state park near the town of Lexington, Virginia. A lodge and tavern there offers dining in an open spacious atmosphere and extremely great service also host a really wonderful surf and turf buffet one night a month.  Natural Bridge itself is about a quarter mile hike from the visitor center and access is down a steep gorge via a man made staircase. There are caverns in the vicinity rumored to be the deepest cave system east of the Mississippi River.
